Traced back to to Captain John Starr, an infantry captain during English Civil War around 1649. Five sons settled in Chester, PA, William Penn's Quaker settlement in the 1700's. The family lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana. Belle Starr's 2nd husband, Sam Starr, would be a distant cousin. The Starr Piano Co., Richmond, IN, is related to this family.
My great grandfather Moses Starr and his brother Nathan lived in Delaware, OH. Nathan Starr's descendants donated family papers to the Delaware County Historical Society.
